Interest rate parity(IRP)-利率平價(jià)理論

High interest rates are associated with weakening currencies.

The exchange rate between two currencies – ie the buying and selling rates, both spot and forward – is determined primarily by supply and demand in the foreign exchange markets. Demand comes from individuals, firms and governments who want to buy a currency.

Supply comes from those who want to sell it.
